The club was well represented at the Stockton Borough Council Club, Coach & Volunteer Awards 2012 which took place Friday 2nd November at Stockton Town Football Club.

The trophies won by our members!  A very well done to all.

The club had two nominees for the Young Volunteer of the Year award - Declan and Aidan Bowler.  It was great to see Declan awarded the trophy for Young Volunteer of the Year 2012 award!  He goes on to complete his British Cycling level one coaching award and to continue to be an important player in our youth coaching set-up on Saturday mornings.

Further congratulations have to go to our lead coach who has been the driving force behind many of the changes Stockton Wheelers has undergone in recent years - Coach of the Year 2012 was awarded to Kevin Kilcullen.  Well done Kev!  This was a very strong category for us as out of the five nominees three were from Stockton Wheelers (Kev, Carl and Jayne).

Our last trophy of the night was for Club of the Year.  There were seven nominations in this category and Stockton Wheelers came runners-up losing out to Tees Rowing Club - well they did produce an Olympic Champion!
