This will be held on Sunday April 1st 2012, will cost just £3 to enter, and cover 100km. The route map is here. Choice of 57 or 87 miles routes. Durham. 103Kms Kendal Sportive (70 or 40 miles) - Sunday 25th March 2012 Whether you are training for Fred Whitton or Etape du Dales or just want to make the most of the start of British Summer Time and ride on some of the best cycling roads around. This sportive is enough of a challenge for hardened sportives or first timers option. Stockton Wheelers Tourist Trail - Sunday 1st April 100kms, entry fee of just £3. Tyne Valley Sportive - Saturday 5th May Starts from Blanchard, nr. Derwent Reservoir. Stokesley Charity Bike Ride - Sunday 13th May Starts from Stokesley, now in it's 15th year, this local 30-mile ride attracts around 400 riders and raises money for a local cause. Fred Whitton Challenge – Sunday 13th May 112 miles round the Lake District. Starts from Coniston. Entry opens 1st Jan 2012 and you need to make sure your entry is there by 12th Jan. Usually over subscribed and there is a ballot for entry. Keswick Sportive - Saturday 19th May 46, 90 or 105 kms. Etape Du Dales - Sunday 20th May *NEW* Starts from Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales. 112 miles. Richmond Sportives - Saturday 2nd June *NEW* Starts Richmond, North Yorks. Northern Rock Cyclone – Saturday 30th June Starts from just north of Newcastle and heads up into Northumberland. Choice of 33, 63 or 104 miles.
